I want to go on vacation Thursday, God willing*. And it's about time, since I haven't taken an actual day off since May. So by gum I'm going to get "Knives of Blood and Night" done by Wednesday.
A deadline, even self-imposed, has a marvelous way of focusing the mind. Or was that a headsman's axe? Well, either way.

*I say "God willing" because the last time I tried to go on vacation, bad, bad things happened. Hopefully such events will not repeat themselves this time around.
