Sorrowful news, today. Google has apparently altered its search algorithms so that Googlebombing no longer works.
"Googlebombing", for those of you unfamiliar with the phrase, is method of gaming Google's search methods so that typing a specific phrase brings up a specific website. As you can imagine, the results are usually comical. The most famous example was right before the election in 2004, when typing "miserable failure" would bring up President George W. Bush's official White House profile page. Google ignored this for several years, until people started accusing the company of endorsing the results of the Googlebomb, and so, Googlebombing has been deactivated.
Alas! The hyperventilating screaming match that is Internet political discourse has just lost one of its greatest tools.
