sharing the pain
I've started editing "Share the Pain", my little mystery novel. My track record with novels is not too great, but this one might be pretty good.

The hook: unemployed web designer Cormac Rogan goes to the campaign headquarters of Senator Jack Kelsey. Rogan's not political; he just wants the job so he can get out of debt. Everything goes swimmingly right up until Rogan arrives and finds the Senator's campaign manager dead in his office from multiple gunshot wounds.

And the police think he did it.

Fun book to write; I'd like to do more of them, but I doubt I'll ever have the opportunity.

Why not, if Isaac Asimov can do it...

He was freaking prolific, though. I think his popular history of the Roman Empire was the first one I ever read.

He also kept writing for 50 odd (and some of them very odd) years. No point in saying "I doubt I'll ever have the opportunity" this early in your writing career.

Well, true. Cast your bread upon the waters and all of that.
